2015 US 30 Speedway awards handed out
The awards ceremony for the 2015 season is complete and it was a good one! We finished 5th in points for the year, sandwiched by the Svoboda brothers. This was a difficult year with the loss of a personal friend being the biggest thing. The racing season wouldn't start off much better with several DNF's and strange parts breakages littered about. Keeping with the "Never quit" attitude, we rallied back into the top 5 in points and got our first ever feature win. Due to my prolific nature as a total smart ass, I was dealt a good one at the banquet with the ever prestigious "US 30 Speedway You Wish" award, presented by none other than Mari Melcher. As the first winner of an award that is sure to become a tradition for decades to come, I can only express my humble gratitude. This pales in comparison to such menial trophies like "track champion" or "national points champ". I'm currently waiting to hear when my sitting is scheduled for my bronze bust statue that will be displayed at the entrance to the track... Seriously tho, thank you to everyone and anyone that either helped on my car or cheered for me in the stands. I appreciate everything!
